Death Plateau

2. Go to the North-West past Troll Invasion and enter the grotto at the red exclamation mark on your minimap.
3. Talk with Sabbot and ask him if he wants to help. He does not want to, so tell him you won't leave until he helpsyou out. Keep saying 'Fine' until he gives in. He will tell you about his wife, Freda. He wants you to go and see her.
4. Go to the North-West until the intersection of the path. Take the path leading to the West and follow it to the South. Here you'll find a house, head inside and talk to Freda. Go through all chat options until Freda asks you to take her pair of Climbing Boots to Dunstan and have them repaired. In the meantime, Freda will go and look for a map for a different route to Death Plateau. Offer your help.
5. Take Freda's Climbing Boots to Dunstan. The fastest way is to use the Burthorpe lodestone and then run to the East of the castle. You'll see an icon of a weapon's store on the minimap.
6. Talk to Dunstan, he'll add fresh spikes to the boots.
7. Take the boots back to Freda. She will now hand you a map. Read the map, you'll find out it's a map of Sabbot's grotto. Head back to this grotto.
8. When back in the grotto, mine the rocks on the west wall of the grotto. Go inside and find the route through the tunnel (you should be able to easily find the route):
a. Go to the South and jump down the cliff;
b. Go to the East and climb through the gap;
c. Go to the East and proceed South, jump across the crevice;
d. Go South, then West, swing the rope to the other side;
e. Go West and jump to the other side using the stepping stones;
f. Go South and go through the gap;
g. Go South and climb the Eastern wall;
h. Leave the cave.
9. You'll find a troll called "The Map", talk to him and say "Prepare to die, Troll!". Kill the troll and go back to Commander Denulth to make him aware of the new route to Death Plateau. The fastest way is by teleporting using the Burthorpe lodestone. You'll get to see a cutscene. Once the cutscene finishes, talk to Commander Denulth again.
